Purpose
Use this calculator to setup a fining trial using a stock solution, before executing the actual finning treatment in the cellar.
Background
It is recommended to carry out a fining trial before any additions are made in the cellar as incorrect additions might result in under-finings or over-finings, quality loss and added expense. At all times include a control in your trial and ensure consistency between concentration of fining agent in the trial and in the actual fining agent used in the cellar.
